Lots of science

In science today we read pop reading. We got partners and read one page together. Mrs. MCcavall asked us questions.Then we drew are pictures in our science books.Next we had snack and read a book.Then we will go home and do our work.

Today we read knots on a counting rope it was a good book.We went to music we finished a test. In science we used the push pull meter we put a book,and show. It was a good day.

This morning at literacy we had three new vocabulary words. At math we learned how old we are in days, hours minutes.       At writing we seen pictures of our pen pals.  We are going to write New Year's cards to our pen pals.

Lots of Inquiry

Today we did a lot of work on inquiry.  We were to write captions for our pictures.  We learned how to download pictures to the desktop and create folders to save them in.  We then presented our inquiry projects to the class.  We are also working on finishing our memoirs.  Cody and Paetyn did get done!  We still need to insert pictures in our memoirs too.  In math, we did a page on comparing populations of major US cities.  We have homework tonight in math!  YESSSSS!  Next week, we all get a chance to type the blog.

Today Mrs. McCarville had us working our tails off.  In literacy, we are making simile poems about ourselves.  We shared our idioms from yesterday.  We also got into our inquiry groups to start our project on a sport.  In writing, we are working on our memoirs.  In math we are reading and writing larger numbers and working on place value.  In science we described how different toys moved and were introduced to our push-pull meters.  

Some exciting news to our classroom is we are going to have a Luther student helping in our classroom starting on Monday.  His name is Mr. Racek.  We are super excited to have him help us and can't wait to meet him.

Into the Book

I have added a new website to the games on the blog.  The website is called "Into the Book," and it has many different reading comprehension strategies.  We have worked on some of those strategies in Lead 21 and some we have not covered yet.  I plan on showing the class later this week, but if your child would like to try it out before then, go for it!

Fantastic News

I am very excited to let all of you know about some very important information.  3C was the class that sold the most in our fundraiser and now we get to have a class limo ride the same day as the "Big Blast" party!  It will be so fun to cruise around town in a hummer limo.  Way to go 3C!
